It Takes Everyone, Romans 16

As we come to the end of the book of Romans, we are reminded by Paul that the work of the church, spreading the precious love and gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. takes many different gifts and individuals working together in unity. Over and over in this chapter Paul is sending greetings to those who have worked with him and have been his friends in ministry.

One thing I noticed in Paul's ending remarks is that in multiple places Paul expresses the idea of "working hard" for others in the Lord. How very important it is to understand that it takes all of us, working together, to bring the Kingdom of God to our community. Each person with a gift to offer. Each individual with ways of wisdom and grace to touch those around them.

All of this is possible because of the beginning of verse 25: "Now to him who is able to establish you..." It is the Lord who strengthens us day in and day out to work for Him in such a way that we can say along with Paul, "to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen!"

Tomorrow we will begin a new journey through the book of Ephesians. Please read Ephesians 1:1-14 for tomorrow.
