2 Corinthians 1:3-4   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Prayer:

God of all comfort, we come today to acknowledge that when we are hurting the most, You are there to comfort and to guide us. Thank you for the comfort that knowing You brings in times of sorrow, illness, and the things in our lives that discourage us the most. We pray that as the comfort of the love of God sustains and strengthens us, that in turn we would be able to offer that same comfort to others. Wrap us in Your divine care and love this day. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
