Timing is Everything! Ephesians 3:1-13

Probably one of the things we deal with on a daily basis in our lives is timing. We wait for the time to pass in cooking a cake or dinner, we have various appointments at different times, and we so often look at our watches to know what time it is!

Today's passage talks to us about the timing of God. God's time is seldom our time. We often can get frustrated when we pray about certain things and don't see the answer in the "timing" we would desire things to happen. A couple different Scriptures come to mind today. The first is Deuteronomy 29:29: "The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law." God has revealed so many things to us in regard to following after Him and these very words should give us comfort to know the very thing that Isaiah writes in 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declared the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Finally, in Ecclesiastes 3:1: "there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven..." What do all these says to us--TRUST! Trust the Lord's timing in your life. Trust the care and love of God in your life. Trust the leading of the Holy Spirit to know the timing of God in all things. God cares for you and He will not abandon you with your prayers and concerns. Hold tightly on to the truth that you are God's beloved and He is concerned about you!
