As I watch the various news channels lately it has been inspiring to see all the different things people are doing to say thank you to the health care workers, essential workers and the like. How often have we been thankful for the clerk at the grocery store or Walmart? How often are we thankful for the food in our cupboards and our ability to be safe and warm in our own homes? As I reflect on this the Word of the Lord encourages us: listen to the Word (read it out loud to yourself today.)

"Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you and you will honor Me...He who sacrifices thank offerings honors Me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God." Psalm 50:14-15, 23.

Today I would encourage you to offer up to God thank offerings--what are you thankful for today? Make a list of what you are thankful for and keep it by your Bible so that each day you can read your list for it will encourage you each day to have a thankful heart instead of a fearful or doubtful one! To God be the glory great things He has done, is doing, and will do!

Giving God praise with you today!
