Light and Daylight Savings Time

Recently the Senate voted on making Daylight Savings Time permanent. In other words—no changing the clocks twice a year! It’s all about light! I know many of us like the longer evening hours yet I miss the early morning light as I am an early riser. Nevertheless, it has triggered me to think about light.

We are currently in the season of Lent and it all points toward Easter and the sacrifice of love that Jesus made for each of us. He said, “I am the Light of the World.” His light, His love, His grace, His glory, shines throughout the world to bring us hope. Hope that goes beyond the fears and anxieties of this world. Hope that brings us to the reality of heaven and the joys of serving the Lord today.

Jesus also said that we are lights in a darkened world. How very important it is for each of us to shine the light of the love of Christ to all those we encounter—just as when the sun shines each day, it doesn’t discriminate who it is shining on! At Trinity we believe ALL are welcomed into this Light. We invite you to come and worship with us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 as together we can “be the love of Jesus” to one another and our community.
