We are living in times when one begins to wonder is there any foundational truth that can be trusted? The answer to that question is a resounding YES! In John 17:17, Jesus is praying for the disciples and all believers who would come after them. He says, "Sanctify them by Your truth--Your Word is truth."

The Bible is the inspired Word of God--I like to refer to it as God's love letter to each and every one of us. It reminds us of the plan of God from the very beginning of creation that set forth the truth of a Savior who would come to redeem the world from sin and restore the relationship between God and humankind. The Lord desires nothing more than to fully restore the human heart to a place of fellowship with the God who not only created us but loves us deeply.

In the turmoil of this world, with the coronavirus devastating so many lives, the political struggles, the hurricanes, and the personal storms of life, we can rest our hearts in God. It is only there that each of us can find that place of peace that passes all understanding. In the love of Christ for us we find an assurance that there will be trouble in this world, but to be of good cheer, because Christ has overcome and will strengthen each and every one of us to do the very same.
