Be Strong! Ephesians 6:10-24

The Apostle Paul ends the book of Ephesians with the strong admonition to BE STRONG, to STAND FIRM, and to PUT ON the full armor of God. We have a spiritual enemy, Satan, who would like nothing more than to destroy all that God has created and loved. Jesus said in John 10:10 that "the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Each of us has a spiritual responsibility to clothe ourselves spiritually in such a way that we are able to have the wisdom and strength to fight anything that the enemy of our souls would throw at us. Paul says to put on the full armor of God and goes step by step in regard to the armor. Our struggle is not against other humans, even though everything often seems to look that way, but we need to understand the struggle is deeper than that.

It is crucial that each and every one of us would be armed with the knowledge of God's Word functioning in our lives, having an active prayer life, and a loving heart toward others.

This letter ends with a very interesting line: "Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an UNDYING LOVE." Let me ask you this question today--is that how you love the Lord?
