Last night I watched the movie, The Passion of Christ." Once again I was brought to tears as I watched the movie rendition of Christ's suffering for you and for me. My heart was overwhelmed with the thought of my Savior's love, of His willingness to die for me so that I might be fully forgiven and fully receive His love.

This morning the only verse that comes to my soul, and I weep again this morning as I type this from Psalm 46:10, "BE STILL and KNOW that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." What this is really saying is LET GO, CEASE STRIVING. It is an invitation to rest in the Father's love. To rest in His abundant grace and mercy. To rest in the reality of our God being exalted throughout the earth. To rest in the knowledge that you and I belong to Jesus.

It is so easy today to be anxious as we continue to hear the devastation of COVID-19. But today I invite my own heart and yours to BE STILL and to KNOW that HE IS GOD! We need not be anxious, we need not fret, but today, between Good Friday and Easter Resurrection, let us rest our hearts in the the work Jesus did for each of us on the cross. Let us BE STILL.

With a quiet and reflective heart today,

Love to you all, Pastor Peggy
